As part of its ongoing commitment to enhancing community capacity and economic self-reliance, the Indonesian Inspiration for Building Foundation (Yayasan Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun – YIIM) once again organized a vocational entrepreneurship training. Under the umbrella of the MATA (Skilled and Empowered Community) program within the Community Empowerment pillar, YIIM held a two-day Perfume Making Training on Wednesday–Thursday, September 9–10, 2026, at the YIIM Office in Jakarta.
The MATA program was specially designed by YIIM to equip underprivileged communities, aspiring entrepreneurs, and the general public with practical skills possessing high economic value. The personal care and fragrance industry, which continues to experience robust growth, is recognized as a promising business opportunity that can be cultivated from a home-based scale.
The event was officially opened by the Secretary of YIIM, Diantini Rahayu. In her opening remarks, she highlighted the significance of equipping participants with technical hard skills accompanied by an independent entrepreneurial spirit, enabling communities to remain competitive and sustain their household economies.
High Enthusiasm and Hands-On Practice
The workshop was guided directly by lead trainer Susgiarti, assisted by co-trainer Dewi. Over the course of two days, participants were provided with comprehensive instruction ranging from scent family identification, formulation techniques, blending ratios, to packaging and marketing strategies for perfume products.
Participant enthusiasm was reflected in their active engagement throughout each practical session. On the first day (September 9), the training was attended by 12 participants. On the second day (September 10), enthusiasm further intensified with the attendance of 15 participants who engaged in direct, hands-on perfume formulation.
Participant Appreciation
The positive impact of the training was directly felt by the participants. One of the participants, Mr. Eko, expressed his deep appreciation for the initiative held by YIIM.
“The program is truly wonderful and definitely needs to be held again,” stated Mr. Eko.

Through the Community Empowerment pillar, YIIM remains committed to delivering vocational training programs that are both relevant and directly impactful for the broader public, aligning with the vision of achieving economic self-reliance and poverty alleviation.
Salam Inspirasi!
