The Indonesia Building Inspiration Foundation (YIIM), supported by Insight Investments Management (Insight IM), plays an active role in providing support for environmental conservation. One of them is providing support to prevent global warming through research and development of energy-saving and environmentally friendly vehicles to the Brawijaya University Appatte62 Team.<\/p>\n
The Apatte62 team is an energy-efficient car research team that develops vehicles with environmentally friendly fuel to save the environment in the future from various kinds of emissions that can cause global warming.<\/p>\n
YIIM together with Insight supports the Apatte62 Team in several events, namely the Indonesia International Hydrogen Summit 2024 in Jakarta, the Shell Eco Marathon Asia in West Nusa Tenggara and the Energy Efficient Car Contest at the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education (Kemenristekdikti) next October.<\/p>\n
Monday, June 24 2024, 28 students and 2 field supervisors departed at the send-off event held on the 6th floor of the Rectorate Building. Universitas Brawijaya was represented by the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs, Dr. Setiawan Noerdajasakti, S.H., M.H released the Apatte62 Brawijaya Team which will take part in the 2024 Shell Eco-Marathon (SEM) competition, 2-6 July 2024 at the Mandalika Circuit, West Nusa Tenggara, an innovation event in designing, building, testing and driving environmentally friendly vehicles with minimal energy sources. The Apatte62 Brawijaya team will compete against 80 teams from 12 countries in the Asia Pacific and Middle East regions. This year’s departure is the third time the Apatte62 team has participated in the Shell Eco Marathon in Mandalika.<\/p>\n
In this year’s SEM, the Apatte62 Team won 2 prizes, 1st place in hydrogen prototype (anagata fcv) and 2nd place in urban electricity (marsela ev). In the previous year, the Apatte62 Team won 1st place in urban electric in SEM 2023 and in SEM 2022, the Apatte62 Team won 1st place in the hydrogen prototype and 2nd place in urban electricity.<\/p>\n
“Insight IM through the Insight Renewable Energy Fund product supports environmentally friendly technology research which continues to be developed by the Apatte62 team at Brawijaya University. Insight IM sees great potential in the research carried out by the Apatte62 team at Brawijaya University. It not only contributes to the development of energy-saving technology, but also provides inspiration for the younger generation to continue to innovate.”<\/em> explained Director of Insight IM Ria M Warganda.<\/p>\n This environmental preservation program is a form of Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) or corporate social responsibility (CSR) from Insight IM to the community, which is part of Insight IM’s commitment to support innovation and research in the field of environmentally friendly technology and is in line with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) number 13, namely handling climate change and SDGs Number 17, partnerships to achieve the goals.<\/p>\n YIIM is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping people from various circles, founded by social and humanitarian activists.
